How much further in debt are U.S. Tax Payers?

RECAP FOR THE WEEK OF: Feb 1, 2010

I expect the week to either rally alittle, or go side-ways. On the other hand, cycles and indicators are really negative, a free fall south is possible, but I don't think we'll see it this week; after last week's drop, I can see the markets taking a breather. Additionally, the first week of the month usually sees some gains. After this week, a free fall is very possible.

No big mover this week, but I do expect Tuesday to be UP.

Follow-up

As predicted, the market did take a breather (see Monday's and Tuesday's results below) from the negative path it started the previous week.

Tuesday was UP (^DJI +111). Another for us!!

FORECAST FOR THE WEEK OF: Feb 8, 2010

While most indicators are pointing to a down week--and this is where I am putting my money--there a chance that a Elliott Wave a-b-c rebound could start this week.

Friday should be the big mover this week, and it should be DOWN.

Market Summary:

Debt

Debt is again a problem, but this time it is countries in the EU that are struggling with it. Debt will continue to haunt the markets through 2010, and the fall-out will get worse. From an Astrological view, this is consistant with the Saturn square Pluto on January 31. This particular aspect will continue to influence the markets throughout 2010, and possibly beyond.

Gold and Silver

The drop in Gold can be attributed to the US Dollar rising in value against the Euro. I would not be surprised to see Gold and Silver to continue downward into the middle of March as further porblems with the Euro will cause the US Dollar to rise.
